Co-Founder of Hashtag Therapy, Jesse is an experienced therapist, counselor and case manager who works with adults, emerging adults, teens and families. Focusing on practical and mindfulness-based approaches, Jesse helps clients navigate difficult stages in life, establishing effective plans to address and achieve their needs and goals. Jesse includes career and education counseling when needed to establish a focused view of an individual's overall life plan.

Jesse specializes in building an individual's resilience, and helps clients recover from ineffective behaviors and destructive ways of thinking. Jesse has extensive experience in treating depression and anxiety, mood disorders, issues of low self-esteem, social anxiety, panic issues, anger management, co-dependency, intimacy issues, as well as substance abuse and addiction. Jesse helps individuals and families establish healthy boundaries and build effective communication strategies to improve relationships in both the personal and professional realms. 

Jesse has been working with Westside families since he began teaching at the Crossroads School in 1992. He served as a teacher and counselor in the Humanities and Human Development Department for almost 30 years utilizing his training in peer mediation, conflict resolution and council training. Following his tenure as a staff therapist at Visions Treatment Centers where he helmed the Launch program for young adults, Jesse began his private practice in 2012, and has helped individuals and families on the Westside of Los Angeles as an educator and later a therapist for almost 30 years. 

Jesse received his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, his Chemical Dependency Counseling training from UCLA; his Masters Degree in Critical Studies from the California Institute of the Arts; and his BA in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jesse is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His articles on adolescent conflicts in cinema were published in Film Quarterly and the South Atlantic Quarterly magazines.
