JESSE ENGDAHL  
M.A. LMFT

​Jesse is an experienced counselor of teens, young adults and families, having served as a therapist, college counselor, and program coordinator for adolescent and young adult outpatient and sober-living populations.

​Jesse has been solely in private practice for six years, following his tenure as a staff therapist at Visions Treatment Centers, where he helmed the Launch program for young adults and facilitated DBT staff trainings, among other duties. 

Jesse has been a teacher and counselor in the Humanities and Human Development for over 20 years; he’s been trained in peer mediation, conflict resolution and council training by the Crossroads School in Santa Monica. He received his BA in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara, his Masters Degree in Critical Studies from the California Institute of the Arts, his Chemical Dependency Counseling training from UCLA, and his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.  

Jesse is a Registered Recovery Worker and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His articles on adolescent conflicts in cinema were published in Film Quarterly and the South Atlantic Quarterly magazines.
